BIRTHRIGHT ISRAEL VOLUNTEER WITH SAR-EL ISRAEL in 2025
Sar-El is partnering with Birthright Israel Volunteer to offer an
extraordinary two-week volunteer experience, uniting ages 18-50 from
around the world in support of Israel. Participants will have the
opportunity to directly assist Israel’s defense efforts, from organizing
supplies to supporting essential logistics for the IDF.
This journey is especially vital during this critical time. With increased
demands on Israel’s resources, every pair of hands counts. Volunteers will
work alongside IDF personnel and see firsthand the impact of their
contributions on the ground.

June 8-19, 2025
July 13-24, 2025
December 21, 2025 -January 1, 2026
Program Details:
Activities: Volunteers will work alongside IDF personnel – living on an
IDF base during the week and spending a memorable Shabbat in Tel Aviv.
Cultural Activities: Enjoy enriching cultural activities, including tours
and discussions that bring Israel’s history and vibrant culture to life.
Registration Fee: $50 to Birthright Israel Volunteer
Arrange your own flight, and we can help to get you a subsidy for this.
Land in Israel by 9:00am on the arrival day. For trips starting in May,
the arrival day is the second day of the program.
Leave the trip anytime after 8pm on the departure day, participants are
brought to a train station in Tel Aviv for easy access to the airport and
other points of interest.
IMPORTANT: When registering, you’ll need to select a gateway airport even
if you don’t want a group flight. You can indicate your plan to travel on
your own later in the registration.
Registration Process:
Each participant will sign up on Sar-El’s website and continue through an
interview process.
If continuing from there, participants will receive a link to complete the
Birthright Israel application on the Israel Outdoors website.
Participants will then complete the process with Birthright Israel
Volunteer before finalizing the trip.

Two visits to MDA Headquarters: Dive into the heart of Israel’s emergency
response system. You’ll meet seasoned experts, hear firsthand testimonies, and
participate in collaborative training exercises.
Flexible scheduling: Training is spread across two afternoons per week and an
extended Thursday session, designed to fit seamlessly into your volunteering
schedule.

Krav Maga
New Krav Maga Volunteer Program: Empower Yourself While Supporting the IDF
Sar-El is excited to announce a groundbreaking addition to our volunteer
offerings: a two-week program combining meaningful logistical support for
the IDF with essential Krav Maga training in partnership with the Wingate
Institute. This program is designed to provide volunteers with a unique
opportunity to contribute directly to Israel’s front-line efforts while
gaining invaluable self-defense skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a volunteer, you’ll spend two weeks on an IDF base, participating in
critical logistics work. Tasks include packing medical supplies, sorting
essential equipment, and organizing food packages to ensure front-line
soldiers have everything they need to succeed. Your efforts will directly
impact Israel’s defense during these challenging times.
Krav Maga Training – Building Confidence and Community
In addition to supporting the IDF, participants will receive Krav Maga
training from expert instructors. This training is designed to:
Boost confidence: Learn skills that help you feel empowered in any
situation.
Enhance personal and community safety: Develop techniques to protect
yourself and those around you.
Foster resilience: Cultivate mental and physical strength through
hands-on, practical lessons.
The program includes two on-base training sessions led by Krav Maga
experts and two immersive day-long visits to the renowned Wingate
Institute, Israel’s National Center for Physical Education and Sport.
These sessions are designed not only to teach self-defense but also to
create a sense of camaraderie among participants, as you learn and grow
together.
Important Information for Participants
To ensure the safety and suitability of all participants, please note the
following requirements:
Participants must be under the age of 70.
A special doctor’s note, which Sar-El will provide, must be completed
prior to participation.
This program is more than just volunteering; it’s a chance to connect with
Israel, support its soldiers, and empower yourself with life-changing
skills.
